Introduction
About State-wise Drug Inspector Recruitment Patterns
There is no single “Drug Inspector exam” in India. A post can be filled by UPSC for CDSCO, or by any of the 28 State Public Service Commissions, each with its own syllabus, exam pattern, and vacancy timeline.
This course maps the Central (UPSC/CDSCO) track and four major state tracks — TSPSC, APPSC, BPSC, and MPSC — covering eligibility, exam pattern, negative marking, and syllabus emphasis for each.
It closes with a comparative subject-to-exam mapping table and a strategic study-allocation plan, so a learner targeting one or several exams in the same year can sequence their preparation correctly rather than misallocating study time.
Programme Scope
What this programme covers
The scope spans the UPSC/CDSCO Central track’s eligibility and exam pattern, TSPSC’s bilingual General Studies plus Pharmacy paper structure, APPSC’s Prelims-Mains-Interview process, BPSC’s no-negative-marking format, MPSC’s no-interview written-only selection, a comparative snapshot across all five authorities, and a subject-to-exam mapping table for study planning.
Learning Objectives
What you will achieve
By the end of this programme, participants will have built a clear, personalized recruitment map — translating into a study plan matched to the exam(s) they are actually sitting.
Each outcome below is built around avoiding the two most common misallocation mistakes this course identifies, so participants leave with a plan, not just information.
01
To identify which authority — UPSC or a specific State PSC — a learner is eligible and preparing for
02
To state whether a target exam has negative marking, and at what severity
03
To determine what fraction of a target exam’s marks come from non-pharmacy content (General Studies/regional)
04
To identify which pharmacy subjects are common across all target exams, for efficient study sequencing
05
To determine whether a target exam has an interview stage or rests entirely on the written test
06
To build a personalized, multi-exam study allocation plan using the subject-to-exam mapping table
