Emergency and BLS Awareness for Nurses

Introduction:

Emergency care and Basic Life Support (BLS) are critical competencies for nurses, enabling immediate response to life-threatening situations such as cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, and trauma. BLS includes essential interventions like cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), airway management, and use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). Prompt and effective action during emergencies significantly improves patient survival and outcomes. Nurses, being frontline healthcare providers, must be well-trained in recognizing emergencies and delivering timely, evidence-based interventions.
